BF and I went out yesterday and found a few fun items. A 1920 buffalo nickel- it's in rough shape but still an awesome find. He had fun teaching me how to use metal detector and we found out I'm very good at finding bottle caps.

The little metal circle is strange, some kind of hand made project with rotted charms. At first thought child's project but the wire twist is done with fine craftmanship- it's odd.

The trinket from jewelry has a weird back but very sweet.

Nice finds

Yr my kind of Lady / like minded .

Wish I were 30 years younger .

A good BF you got there to .

Take care.

Congrats on the finds !

Your lucky to be able to read the date on the Buffalo Nickel.
A good 50 % of them that come out of the ground have unreadable dates.
I saw a post the other day saying that’s why they changed the design because of its inability to maintain the date

You're doing great, congrats!
Like E-trac said, a dated buff is not that common.

Want it to be a little cleaner?
Use Bar Keepers Friend scouring powder on it with a little water and rub vigorously. It's pretty amazing.

I did a little research and I'm nervous to clean because it may be hard to see if it was struck on a penny planchet. It is slightly smaller and copper looking- going to have it looked at by an appraiser a few towns over. I'll take your advice for our other coins we found though! Thanks oldmxrat!
