Hey everyone,
I got permission to detect a property yesterday that had three different homesites on it. 2 of the homes were located in the woods and their foundations still remained. Unfortunately generations of trash dumping in the cellar holes made it near impossible to detect around them. The third location sat out in a field. The owner told me this was a little log cabin that was built in the 1700s and was torn down in the 1920's. I was only able to detect here for about an hour but I came away with some neat early relics. The best find was probably the early wax seal. I was also able to uncover a bunch of buttons, a nice 1700's buckle, an early copper (Looks like a King Willim III but I'm not sure), an escutcheon plate and some other odds and ends. The homeowners were thrilled to receive some of the buttons and relics that I dug. I will be revisiting the site soon! Thanks for looking!

Cool finds there Ben! I like that cameo piece.

Nice stuff man. Sweet permission.

Good finds, keep digging there. Creep around the trash like an old stalker until you hear something nice!

Is it just me or is the pictures too large? It makes the whole post too large to read at all.

You've got a little museum going on right there just from this one site!
Congrats! Love those colonial relics! :treasurechest::thumbsup:

Hell of a day buddy. Great assortment of finds
