Just flew into Panama and immediately made an excursion to an old site I used to detect when I lived here years ago. I only had 3 hours to detect and the jungle was full on difficult to detect in the midst of rainy season. Still found a copper coin- an 1848 Nueva Granada 1 Centivo, in pretty beat-up shape: (https://en.foronum.com/coins-catalog/colombia/n-6377-1-decimo-de-real).

Also found lots of metal spikes, nails, an old fork, parts of parasols, along with the usual unidentified bits of metal. There are also lots of broken bottles on this site and I included a photo of one of the larger bits I was able to eye ball find.

Lots of history here still waiting to be uncovered before it is lost forever.
