Hey guys, im back form CapeCod :)? Did decent for only detecting around 2 hours or so.

-86 cents in clad
-a brass spike
-an unreadable wheatie (all i can see is the 9 in the date 19XX)
-a 1945 wheatie in decent cond.
-couple of shell casing and slugs
-a yale key
-a nice fishing spoon
-a Zippo brand lighter
-and a piece of metal that says "Pearce Sterling" found it under some stairs on a frequently used beach.

Found the zippo, key,and some coins all next to a wooden post on the beach, pays to check there as people set stuff down on them.

Also went to an estate sale and everything in the basement was free!! got a big box of tools and also a old coca cola cooler.

A question to the divers on the site: Do you think the brass spike could be from a shipwreck?? There was lots of bits of ceramics and bricks and stuff in the are along with old timbers sticking out of the rocky ground.? penny in for scale.

Thanks for lookin and be carefull i think its bow season so wear something orange ;)

Nice finds Jake. Send that Zippo in to the factory and it will come back looking new! Free too! Before and after pictures would be neat. Jim

WOW COOL JAKE.

IF ZIPPO Can't Fix it, They will Send it Back Along With a Brand New one, Absolutely Free.

Just Write them & ask For a Mailer & Catalog, They will include a Catalog showing all the Collectable lighters .

They Don't Repair them IF they have Lost the TRADEMARK "CLICK" when youu open the top.
They Just Give them Back with a New one.

OH YEA, They Will Also send you a Penny on a chain ,With Their Catalog, With A card attached to it, Saying it is

"THE CENT NEVER SPENT TO REPAIR A ZIPPO PRODUCT"

ABSOLUTELY.

NOT FIX, they will Send it back at their cost, along with a new one.

Great digs, WTG!!!
I would think that old spike would probably of had to have come from an old ship... ???
And, what in the world is the redish looking stone thingy, next to the key. Is that a Ruby in the ruff?, or just glass?, or plastic?
Good luck & Happy hunting~

Nice finds Jake! I wonder if that brass spike belongs to a ship wreck? HH, Mike

Jeff,

I have been to the Zippo/Case Plant. That is one cool place. Hard to believe they could make a tourist spot out of lightersand knives. The have a lot of history. I also saw a pile of shame some lighters that did not work and a few that should not have worked bur did. I would also reccommend a trip there for any one (Near or in Bradford, PA). The case knives are also cool.
