Finds for the Last Two Weeks: A Derringer, Silver Coins, I H Pennies, & More!
I went house hunting for the last couple of weeks. Most of the houses dated from the 1920s-1950s. I really didn't expect to find much. I was pleasantly surprised! All three Indian Head pennies were found in the same hole. They date 1898, 1896, and 1899. The 1943 Mercury dime was found about three feet away. I found the Derringer in front of the house that my grandparents lived in until about 1975. I went to an older home, built in the 1920s, and found a 1918 Mercury dime that was about 7 inches deep. The two quarters were found in front of another house next door to my grandparents. I also found the Chinese coin and the five bucks token, in the same yard. One unusual find was the green Shaving Cream tube. Found 5 Wheat pennies from the 1940s and 1950s and the usual assortment of clad and Memorial.
Thanks for looking.
