Relic Hunting
So after almost a week of striking out everyday, I hit a field that was supposed to have camps from confederate soldiers. We hit this field earlier in the week and struck out but I guess we were not in the right place, I still cant say that we have found the camp but I did pull alot of relics. And there is broken glass and pottery everywhere, every 6" I got a signal with hundreds more in the field.

I got my 2nd Indian head penny today and it is an 1864 ;D got some buckle, harmonica reeds, lead, an old piece from what appears to be the inside of a pocket watch, an old spoon, and some more broken pieces of arrow heads. The items circled I have no idea on, I thought they may be sights of an old rifle but not sure :icon_scratch: any help on them would be app.

Got the front to a 2 piece eagle button, anyone have a date just by looking at the front :icon_scratch: and a button that says "BLUE BUCKLE"

And I found an INDIAN don't know what he is or what he was used for so I'm gonna post him in the what-is-its to. I plan on going back tomorrow if it don't rain, anyways thanks for looking and as always Happy Hunting ;D

Thanks Buckleboy! So thats what those reeds go to?Makes sense, the ones I found are fairly long.......how they got to where I found them, thats another mystery!!

I know how you feel on that situation, I have found some of these before and cant figure out for the life of me how or why they were in that certain spot :icon_scratch: Thanks guys for the help, I figured the "X" thing was some sort of lock, just didnt know what.

Congrats on the '64 "L" I.H. !!!! (and the other Indian)......

The piece below the two organ reeds actually looks like a piece of a musket sling hook

Nice finds cwdigger...I love the piece of lock. Check out the complete one I found a few weeks ago. I posted in what is it and got alot of info. Seems Montgomery Ward sold alot of them. All details are in that post. Mine cleaned up really well.

You know it may be :icon_scratch: I was think an old door knob cause of one's I have found in the past, but a desk bell does make more sense, thanks cheyenne :coffee2:
