Finally squeezed one out - Bit o' silver

O.K. it's not much, but after the silver drought I've had lately this Merc was a welcome sight. ;D
I was cruising around in the country and stopped at this 1905 house to see if I could detect it. The owner happened to be out power washing the deck. His main house was next door and they both sat on about 10 acres with barn, horses, etc.
Very nice guy, and he mentioned he had lost his gold 1936 class ring on the property about two years ago too. I've never found a class ring yet, so I would love to find it for him.
I detected around yard area of the 1905 house for a few houses and came up with a few tidbits. Not much, but it was fun.
The highlight of my day was when I was bent over digging a target in the front yard, and someone rode by and shouted something like "Owwwwww"!!! Unfortunately it was a guy!!! :laughing9: Oh well, it could have been worse I guess. :dontknow:

My finds were:
*1941 Merc
*1917 & 1945 wheats
*.925 silver ring
*Belt buckle
*Pin
*Mini Me's prison shank

I'll try harder next time.
Thanks for looking,
MM

Ahhh, so now you have finally experienced MetalDetectoristShoutOut-ism. Some folks it seems, cannot resist shouting, yelling, or honking their horns at us while we're minding our own business detecting in a yard. And yes--not to dampen your hopes, but it is almost always some dude doing the yelling. ::)

Once upon a time, it riled me up enough to use headphones. :D Now I just hunt sites that are so isolated that I will likely never see another living breathing human being until I choose to come back to civilization again. :)

Thanks BB.
So me wearing some of those pants like the girls do that say "Pink" or "Juicy" on the butt probably would not be a good idea, huh? :icon_scratch: :dontknow: :laughing9:
Looking forward to you hunts buddy. The season is nearing. Ya-hoooo!

Beautiful Ring Mister!
Nice finds :hello2:

Re: Finally squeezed one out - Bit o' silver

Thanks everyone. I stopped by there again tonight, but still no ring. Unfortunately he has about 10 acres, no idea where he actually lost it, and the place is full of trash. :'( It may be a lost cause. :dontknow:
