Finally No Rain - Milk Scale Plate - LOL

The rain finally stopped long enough to let me get out for a few hours last night. Our house was built in 1917 and I hunted a field that the used to have a huge farm building on it years ago. Didn't find much, but was happy to finally get out and dig. A nose ring and the face plate of an old milk scale and other iron. This was 10 inches in the ground...Ace was going deep for me. The front of the scale reads "Chatillon's Improved Circular Spring Balance to Weigh 60 lbs by 2 Ounces" bottom has other writing and says Warranted New York. Thought it was pretty neat to find something so old.

Looked them up and found a picture of what the whole scale looked liked:

I like the the dial face from the milk scale. Those have a little period font, a little easy industry, and a little geometry.....

They have many things going for them basically. I like them on the wall.

Here is one from my collection that I prize:

Very nice piece, Plehbah Thanks.
