I was beginning to think that my MXT Pro was only good for bottle caps, pull tabs and pennies. Today even though it was lightly raining and snowing I went to the park to give it another shot at finding something. After 5 or so pennies and several bottle caps, foil, pull tabs, and beer cans I got another reading of 25 cent, expecting to pull out another old beer can I was not sure what to expect when I pulled out what the machine was actually stating. I ended up getting about 10 pennies, 1 dime and 2 quarters, one of them was a 1959 which is the oldest thing I ever pulled up so far.

All in all I had a good day in my opinion. Look forward to tomorrow to try a new spot.

Thanks,

Charles

Do some research where the church picnic was in the 40s or 50s. Find the oldest school around you. Find an old baseball or football field.

Assuming the 1959 was one of the quarters, that's a nice 90% silver coin worth $4.34 silver melt value! In my book that's a very nice find indeed! Assuming you are hunting in Alaska, so I'm not real sure what kind of locations you are hunting... maybe look for a coil you can use to hunt for gold too???

Either way, I have found probably 50ish pennies so far with my MXT Pro at kiddy parks and was amazed when I swapped from the low end bounty hunter MDs to this guy... went from finding a quarter and about 20 pennies to finding dozens of pennies, nickels, dimes at 4-10" deap and quarters scream at me. Check my post asking questions on uses, dial ins and coil selections at http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/white-s/351600-mxt-pro-non-pro-owners-suggested-dial-ins.html to get some ideas of what others have posted on the mxt pro and best coils etc.
