Sold them all.
Finally a sale. Locally advertised moving sale only (no CL), which is good!
Started at 9a.m., got there at 8:55. . 6 cars and everyone waiting outside garage, so I was basically on time. Ended up spending around $75. Got some stuff for the house and a nice plate set for a gift for sister-in-law. Some items already on Feebay.

Have a couple questions on the attached pics. Maybe someone has a suggestion(s).

Pic. 1 Sterling candle snuff. Paid $1. weighs 1oz.

Pic 2. Brass items. 22lbs, paid $15. Scrapping at $1.85lb today.
Question is on the "Fan" fireplace screen. Would I make out better selling? Scrap on fan is $24.

Pic 3. Glasses. Paid $1. 3-4inch high, 3in wide at top. The glasses have plastic on the holding area with foreign looking figures. Question: Any info. on these. Worth selling? Owner thought 1960's-1970's maybe France? Maybe "Famous" has a marketing idea for them?

Thanks!

You could certainly do better than scrap on that screen.
might be too heavy to get a good bid on feebay.
any antique stores or fireplace stores in your area?
put it on consignment

Cyberdan, there's actually a nice one in town, I'll check with them. THANKS!

Don't scrap the fan! They go for atleast $100. As for the rest, I have to work, but I'll respond later. :icon_thumright:

* time lapse *

Ok I have a little bit more time, for the sterling candle snuff go to www.replacements.com and try to id it. Hopefully it has mfg stamp on it. That will give you a good idea on how to price it. I usually go about 30% lower than replacement.com.

If I saw those glasses at a garage sale, and they were cheap I would buy them too. Do they have a hallmark on the bottom? Is that yellow glass on the bottom or is it just the sun?

Personally I would advertise them as hollywood regency old fashioned lowball tumbler as the keyword foundation. If you can ID the picture on it that would help. Some other keywords that come to mind are victorian, gentleman, artistic, lithograph, painting, but I can't see the whole tumbler.

I just looked at your brass items agian. Brass bookends sell well, but I am not sure about mallard bookends. What is that other brass item with the arrow? Does that look nautical at all?

This is a fun game!
