I had my second whole day off in nearly two months today. What did I do? DETECT!!! I started with a very junky yard close to home, found the 1941 three pence, weird. Then I decided to cross into the U.S. and see if I could get permission for a yard, which I did.

I did the grassy strip between the road and sidewalk and found the little sterling ring. The yard was loaded with clad and wheaties, and two of the silver dimes. Go figure, I find the 1907 IH in Canada, and then Canadian silver in the U.S. lol. The huge token nearly blew my ears off, I swore it was going to be a half dollar, but it turned out to be an "International Harvester Company" from 1931.

It was brutally hot, and the Mosquitos were unreal, but it was a fun day...

Not a half dollar, but still the vintage McCormick medal is very nice and collectible too :bronzemedalgreen:.

Neat medal. My grandpa used to sell International Harvester farm equipment up in MN just after he served in WW2. He just turned 95.
HH!

Thanks guys. I'd rather have found this medal than a clad half dollar anyway!

Looks like you were in a target rich environment and had a fun day. I also like that IH token. Nice going.

Nice finds. I also found one of the Cyrus McCormick tokens a few years back.

Great hunt. Love the token. The silver ain't bad either.

Awesome McCormick token only 25000 struck :icon_thumright:

Only 25,000 minted? Where did you get your info, I can't find the specs on this token...

:notworthy: Very nice results from your day -- CONGRATS! btw, where in Canada is it so hot now? Andi

Saskatchewan, it often gets into the high 30's, sometimes into the 40's (100-104F) in the summer. The sad part is that in the winter we often get down to -40 (-40F) as well.

Good Silver day you had.

Great finds....on the McCormick token... i found two 1 in my front yard.. and 1 down the road mine are two different sizes....but toasted.
