Final visit to Burger King

In a nearby town we have a mom and pop “Burger King” that opened in the 50s. The national chain Burger King tried everything to come to town. Since the name was taken they were unable to open there. No amount of money or lawyers had any effect.🤣 The mom and pop Burger King is much better and still reasonably priced.

I know a KFC grower.
A decade ago they asked him to reduce the live weight from 4.15 lbs to 3.85 lbs.
Paid him the same $$$.
Per chicken or per lb./kg.?

I get paying him the same per weight; since they sell parts (not weight), they get more chickens=more parts, and as they used to say... "parts is parts".

I don't get it if they were paying the same per chicken. :dontknow:

It just gives you an idea where you sit with those three thing. this is over all average it does not take in a account regional differences with in a country.

Cheers Crow
$7.50 is US Federal minimum wage. States set their own at that standard or higher.
California = $16
Colorado = $14.42
DC = $17.50
Massachusetts = $15
Anyone can search Minimum wage by state to see the others.

The live weight of the bird is in pounds.

He still got paid for the original weight of the bird.

He harvested them 2 weeks early.

Had everything cleaned, and ready to go for the next round.

Basically he had a 2 week paid holiday.

The difference between live weights and dressed weight is 25-33%.

when I First started going to the Butcher Shop, I used to Buy 50Lb of Leg Quarters for $10

no idea what they are now but If I Buy a Platter at a Chicken BBQ : Half a Chicken, Baked Potato, Roll & Apple sauce costs $15.00 used to be $3. 0r $4.00

3 yrs ago it cost me $1.00 a pound to get the steers cut and wrapped.
The world today has gone bonkers.

only thing I buy at the Butcher shop these days is Ground round .
I usually Buy 10 Lbs at a time, It's always on sale For $4.95 a pound,
as a way to get customers to buy other meats.
They do awesome Business for such a small Shop.

My Nephew Just told me he's gonna shoot me a deer this weekend on their farmland so I''ll have plenty of Steaks.
He does his own Butchering.

He'll get a Bear this Year too

They also Raze Angus and usually butcher one every year.

Last year he Shot a Moose ! That meat I Didn't care for. Too Wild

Just give it up my friend, that fast food isn't good for us anyway, way too much cholesterol, sodium, and saturated fats.

I might be showing my age, but i remember the first time i ate at Mcdonalds, i was about 10, afraid i didn't have enough money.
I had $1.35, got a Big Mac, Fries and a drink, with 7 or 8 cents to spare.

Regularly. I wasn't suggesting cholesterol, sodium, and saturated fats aren't issues for many people; they just haven't been issues for me, while I know HFCS is a big one.
It's just not the HFCS.
It's the seed oils that are the problem in society.

This is what the problem is.
