Found 28 wheats, 4 silver dimes, a silver quarter, and only ONE clad penny on a corner lot in Milwaukee over a summer. The lot was scraped and piled in the rear. Found a '22 Buff in that pile. I posted the finds here years ago. Kinnikinnic and Howard. SW corner. ╦╦Ç

Well done in my home town TerryC. Its taken me a year and a half to get about that many wheats, one silver quarter and a merc. Hey ill trade you ALL my clad lol.

Nice job on all those wheats cdickrun, Silver has to be close by.

Where in Milwaukee? I was a Milwaukee then 'Tosa cop! 6th and Lincoln as a kid then lived 91st and Silver Spring. ╦╦Ç

Don't forget the sidewalks and walkways around the house if there are any. Good luck with the future hunts.

Thats really cool. I grew up in Shorewood now live in Glendale. Been detecting Kletch park mostly but have been venturing out a little bit.

The sledding hills! The sledding hills... both at the bottom and at the top third. ╦╦Ç

Looks like you found a Tootsie toy and a lead soldier.
When you find Wheat Pennies, you are in the right Time Zone for silver coins also. Could be people had more pennies than Silver.
Wheat pennies were minted from 1909 to 1958. Silver coins were discontinued in 1964. Keep looking.

....still no silver from this yard....still swinging tho

Victory!! I finally found a silver coin in the field of Wheats!!ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1537311258.556344.jpg

Hi cdickrun,

Probably. I have accepted the fact that a lot of silver was cherry picked years ago. I've been averaging about one silver for every 10-11 wheats found. Rare is the truly virgin yard these days.

nice idds on silver I would be good with thatwell done
