Hi all, haven't been out detecting much lately but did manage to get out this week. My good coin finds were 2 mercs and a few wheats. The hatpin is from the Jamestown Exposition from 1907 in Norfolk Virginia celebrating 300 years after the first settlement at Jamestown, this was my favorite find of the day. The date is 1607/1907 with the 6 and 9 sharing the body of the digit. I seem to find a lot of Boy Scout paraphernalia but this eagle pin is the first time that I have found anything from the Girl Scouts. Also got a plate from an old harmonica and a giant whatzit. This is some kind of buckle, carriage piece, or horse tack? I have no clue but it looks like it pivoted as a hinge somehow, please help me out if you know what it is.
