004.JPG006.JPGI Wasn't sure who occupied this camp until this evening, now I am kind of sure it was southern troop's judging by the dropped cs Gardner. I am getting more and more excited about this place but the down side of a cs camp sometimes is they didn't have much to lose.It was somewhat late into the civil war when the Spotsylvania campaign took place, making Confederate relics even more scarce to find around here. The good sounds are already getting few and far between, but I am not done yet!I would at least like to find that button to show me who was there. Can anyone tell me anything about the locket?thanks for looking, joe

That locket may have once held a picture of a loved one. Very nice finds! I see a CS belt plate in your future haha

really nice locket, hope you find your evidence that you are looking for

Best of luck man! Could you only be on the edges? Like, not found the main camp yet?

Thanks!I know what you mean, but I would have to say no, it's seems to be a somewhat decent size camp,on a pretty big hill top, how long they might have been there is hard to say, but judging by all the iron in the ground I wouldn't think it was too awfully temporary. So far it Just doesn't seem like they dropped a whole lot, I just started hunting it the other day, but yesterday it seems like it didn't take long to where I was walking around struggling to get that next good sound.Time will tell I guess?
