Got out to the cellar hole in my back yard again for another quick hunt. Mostly junk and only two keepers. 1775 KGlll and an unknown copper that looks like it was about to be cut but was lost in the process.

Doubt there are very many coins of that age in the whole state of TN. I would be tickled with some LC's. ha ha.:icon_thumleft:

Must be nice to be able to walk out your back door and dig coppers like that! Good thing the patina layer stayed on that KG III - that's where all the detail is.

Ya it's definitely a good break from the other good sites I have. Most are such a long hike I only get to them a few times a year. Most of the coppers are like that around here. Can't remember the last time I used peroxide on one. Would just fall apart
