About 2 PM today I had a Gold fever of at least 101 and drove over to the grubby creek in our town. I panned my way through and around the usual debris, (half buried tires can make a good gold catch) and after about 30 pans I had about 30 specs. Did a little check and the Gold fever was down to 100.7. IMG_1399.JPG

Good going!

I'm feeling mine rising. I am looking at my home panning bin and thinking of rerunning the gravel already in there.

I am very jealous GM.....Like pods, all I can do is re-work some some already process'd con's.....That, and dream big about when this storm passes....

The rain is keeping me away from the hills....but it only will for so long. :3barsgold:

Had a couple of gully washers come through Sac today. I don't know about rain up on the hill but the snow should stay up a little higher than Mineral bar at least. I am going out tomorrow rain or shine, hopefully there will be more "shine". I'll keep you posted.

be careful but you have my admiration for getting out there regardless of the weather!

IMG_1437.JPGIMG_1419.JPGGot out to the river today, the rain stopped when I got there and the sun actually broke through the clouds for a couple of hours. Rain did not start back up til quittin time 4PM. Worked the exposed bedrock pockets and got fines and a few specs. Got my first bedrock stucker ( like a picker but can only be stuck onto end of finger). It was laying right on top of the bedrock and I almost dismissed it as mica but I decided to check it out. It was peaceful and calm on the edge of the river and a perfect day.

sounds like a sweet, tranquil experience ...wish the greenies could appreciate how those kind of days feel! (And I sorta think of myself as a greenie ...the real kind, not the oddly exclusionary kind!)

Looks like you got the last gold out of Gold Creek! Nice job on the river gold!

Thanks! I may have got some from the gold reek but it claimed my pan. Floated away last week. It should be somewhere near Nimbus Dam by now.

Congrats and good eye on the stucker Mojo, great looking yellow! Very cool you had a zenful day of gold, nice work

Kevin It's ok to think of yourself as a greenie if you want clean drinking water and a place that is not all trashed up as I think we all do. It's when you bust out with Kumbaya that the line has to be drawn....
