I have looked at the link, I am still not convinced the cane tops appear to have a socket for the stick.
so they don't wobble, the hole in the cat is beveled towards the inside and thin on the edge and not conducive to holding a stick?
I am beginning to think it's just a stylized cat from an obscurer potter. I am interested to see if someone finds pix for this or
something similar thanks bk.

Yes, the carney sticks do have necks. I only saw one in the pic that didn't have a collar/neck, so it's probably as you said, some Miss Kitty from an obscure potter. Breezie
