Favorite Treasure Hunt Movies

I almost forgot about "Uncharted". This movie is about friends played by Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg recovering a fortune left by Ferdinand Magellan.

Lost Treasure is a 2003 action film starring Stephen Baldwin, Nicollette Sheridan and Coby Ryan McLaughlin. It was written by Harris Done and Diane Fine and directed by Jim Wynorski under the pseudonym Jay Andrews. This movie is about a treasure hunt on a tropical island. The plot involves a treasure supposedly hidden by Columbus. The map that leads to it was split into two halves, so that one would need both pieces to find it.

Haven't seen this One Availiable Recently.

Detectorists- Not a movie but a British comedy/drama series that ran for 3 seasons. Great !!!

I just watched "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs". While I wouldn't call it a 'Treasure hunt' movie, the "All Gold Canyon" segment certainly qualifies..

I'm with Randawg72, "Detectorists". We can all relate to that one.

There have been rumors of The Goonies II being made for decades. It was announced recently that screenwriter Potsy Ponciroli has been hired to write the script for The Goonies 2. I don't think any story could compare to the original, and producing a sequel at this point would probably just be a cash grab.
Of course I'll be first in line if it actually gets made, but I'm not holding my breath..

There's a new Netflix series about the Forrest Fenn treasure hunt called: "Gold & Greed: The Hunt for Fenn's Treasure". The first three episodes have been released.

I'd just like to know the explanation of the poem (from the guy who actually found it).

Steuf is kind of a dud. He could have made more than the treasure's value had he written a book of his solution, and even more on an interview and speaking tour.
