Favorite songs I was raised on



What I remember about this song: I was 13 and didn't know what the Reaper was. Had to ask around. Then after that I started noticing the Reaper on TV and such.

Vincent Damon Furnier's first band was The Earwigs, then renamed The Spiders, and then The Nazz. Story goes that Todd Rundren already had a band called The Nazz. With the aid of a Ouija board, a witch doctor supposedly communicated to him that the name should be Alice Cooper. Vincent legally changed his name to Alice Cooper in 1975. Since the name was originally owned by the band, he continues to pay royalties to the original band members for the commercial use of the name.

 

IMO a most unusual guest on the Muppets. I mean, after all, this was a little kids' program. But, he tamed it down. Two versions here. Muppet and then official.





Would like to have the clip from Dark Shadows. That was a good one!
