Favorite songs I was raised on

One of my favorites. Just love the music and the guitar, shame no drums to speak of ??? Song has SO many FOND and HAPPY memories from years gone by.
Met him at DisneyLand in early 60's. Nice guy

I'm glad you are reliving your fond memories by revisiting these songs.

Here's one that he (among many others) sang.

and check this one out that I stumbled upon.

Now, my favorite version was sung by Donny Osmond. I had such a little girl crush.

Chris Montez...

More dancing...

If I tried to do that now, most likely would get a heart attack!

That brings back some good memories! I used to hang out next door alot. They were always in the garage working on cars with the radio playing.

I see Don and SD51 have posted some videos. Thank you very much! :notworthy:

Sorry, had to show the only guys and gals that could actually dance to "Wipe Out" by the Surfaris!

Simon that was supposed to have a quote to it. It was concerning your post.

You guys are sneaking in here. LOL. That's great. I wish I didn't get so far behind. Mike, the deal is, I am "liking" videos after I listen to them. I got all confused, so that's how it is going to be for me for a spell. I know you and the Viking had a talk about this subject. I don't want you to have any undo stress over it. I'll get there.

Taking a break at work and remembered a favorite that I don't think anyone has played yet.

In the early 60's, the first Honda motorcycle I ever saw was a Model C100 which was powered by a 50CC engine. A band called the Hondells sang about it...

The Band called the "Rip Chords" sang about the Cobra, an incredible car...

No problem Sis, that high pitch screeching organ noise was a little to much for me as well.

I grew up listening to Jan and Dean, ( as well as others ).
The creative force in the early 1960s hit-making duo Jan and Dean, Berry suffered serious brain injuries one morning in 1966 when he lost control of his speeding Corvette and slammed into the back of a parked truck. In the first years of recovery he had to relearn speaking and walking. His conversation remains halting at times, he limps and his right arm and hand are partially paralyzed. He has no vision out of the left side of each eye. Before Jan could return to performing, he spent hours relearning words to songs he had written. This accident took place almost two years after they recorded "Deadman's Curve " and the accident itself was near the spot of Deadman's Curve.

It was emotional for almost everyone when the two got back together for their first public concert after the accident.
