Favorite songs I was raised on

I could go on, and on. Yeah there's a "but." But, I have a big old house that I have neglected for 1-1/2 years. There is a lot of dust and dirt and disorganization to catch up on. So, I am going to focus on my priorities for a while. Adios Amigos!

Boy, don't we all!! Where the heck does the time go? And why does it seem that the older we get, the faster it goes?

I was never a big fan of Cher, but I remember when this video first came out ( at least I think it was this one) there was such a big uproar all over the news and everything. The debut was aired on MTV and it had to be after 9:00 pm, I believe, because of the lack of clothing she was wearing. Oh how times have changed! As time goes on, this world is getting more and more "conditioned."

When I first met my wife, she was almost a twin to Cher. I love long hair. I was surprised when she came out with this song as I pretty much thought her career was over. What I also found surprising was not only her wardrobe for this , but also her son was playing, ( bass I think ), in this.

So, I have been going through my thread. I realized I missed a few songs from my early years. This lady's songs had a big impact on me.

It's a Skippety-Do-Dah day!

Great thread.
Lots of good old tunes.
As a kid in the sixties there was the radio... Home and of course in vehicles.
Turntable and records from sisters and parents including some old 78 r.p.m..
So , a good cross section.

Jumping around the thread jogged some reminders.

Not to be too sober when fun is ,well...funner ;but Roy was deeper than the smiling guy that jammed on multiple instruments.
Fun on Hee Haw though!
Lord let it rain was a tune I liked he did. Don't find it on vids though...
Here's the sober one.
