My guess is the "35" is a part number or model number of some sort.

Does the blade have any curvature? Plow blades need some curvature to throw the soil; otherwise they only cut a sliver in the ground.

This piece may have been a guard piece to protect a delicate part of the implement such as on a seed drill. It looks like the forward portion where it would attach is missing (hence the reason it was thrown away).

Judging by the shape of the numerals my guess it would date to pre-WW1 if not late 19th Century.

Interesting find.

Best as I can measure with my plastic protractor/plotter the angle of the mount and the base of the blade seems to be 35?.

Klaatu--it has a very slight curve to it.I like your idea on the shape of the numbers.
CharlieP--sounds good to me 35 degree angle
