Whitemarsh, PA, just off of Ridge Pike. Dug a scratchy signal yesterday, saw a thin edge in the plug and thought “Hell yeah we got a copper!” Flipped it over and saw the hole…dammit a washer. I rubbed it a bit and saw some design on it. Looked at it again today and the dots showed up once it dried.

Approximately 25mm diameter, back is blank, thin like a button. Center hole looks drilled. Thinking someone needed a washer in a pinch? Just never found one of these before. Thanks!

Nice design. Sure looks like something was held tight up against it in the center. Rivet, stud, bolt, decorative piece? Lots of possibilities. Does the back show the same kind of marks? Good catch.

Back has no marks or features from what I can see. It’s pretty flat as well.

At first it looks like an old shot gun head stamp with the center missing but the design is different from what I’ve found on the many of head stamps I’ve recovered.
