On a sad note my mom passed away in Nov of '08. Recently my dad has started dividing her things among the kids and her family. A sad sad day for him but he seems to be handling it well.

I was given this lamp. A family mbr told me the lamp is about 100 yrs old and has always been in the family. I'm just curious if anyone knows anything about it. I am unable to find any markings that would tell me who made it or the brand.

ANyone know anything about lamps? Or where I could look?

Thanks for looking!

Thank you again for the condolences. There for a few weeks I was just in a fog and didn't realize "realize" what had happened. Then the holidays hit and we just kind of pushed through. The last several weeks its really started to hit home.

But as I said - my babies have an angel now watching over them. Which helps make everything better.

Thank you for the info on the lamp! Now I can at least have some sort of idea what it is. I would never sell it. I want to keep it in the family. Its been here long enough - might as well stay!

I'll probably take it to a dealer though just to see what its worth. Out of curiosity then anything.

Thanks a bunch again!

First - my condolences - I still miss both my parents.

Secondly - your lamp used to be called a glass chimney lamp (in the style of the oil lamps, but electric - you'll notice the 'chimney' feature was kept) -don't know what they call them now. There were many in the style, so, its value, (aside from sentimental), can vary widely.

I will try to find more more like your actual lamp, but here a a few in the style.
