We have a camp on our local river here in south Louisiana...called false river...it's a body of water that broke off from the Mississippi River 200 + years ago...lately there has been a big push to rejuvenate our river...one way is to lower the river level...during this period of very low water...we have made some great finds...lots of very old bottles...and a couple of these were these locks...would love any info anyone can offer about these locks...
Thks so much

Later 19th century on the left and early 20th on the right? I'm just guesstimating, as I really don't know a whole lot about old locks. Sounds like a cool place to hunt. Hopefully some lock-a-maniac will come along and tell us more about your finds.

Sounds like you have a great opportunity there. Keep showing us what you find.

As far as the locks, I have about the same amount to offer as tamrock, as I agree on the ages. Search "Mercury Mark II Padlock". That appears to be the one on the right.
