All ye who hear! Post your fake finds here! I got this fake Netherlands Daadler on Coin Beach, Delaware a few years ago. Weighs 19.98 grams, but I'm pretty sure it's a reproduction! I posted about it once upon a time ago. Boy, it had me going for awhile. At least I think it's a fake.

Electricbutter, I'd say that's a contemporary counterfeit. As such it is actually worth something!

Ok gotcha. So mine was made in that period to be put into circulation not to trick a collector.

sorry, those are real coins, it's 2 silver dollars and on silver half, these are the fake coins, there's 4 silver dollars, look at the dates

I found what I thought was a 1719 KG I but Iron Patch was quick to point out that it was a counterfeit. Apparently a rare version of one at that and it earned me a banner! Here is a link to the original post:

The point was my first and only lesson needed to learn about fakes and fakers. The coin was one of the biggest confusing disappointments of my detecting life. Eyeballed while detecting on a site where a real one could have been on. No "Copy" on it.....
