This person says it's an 8 reale spanish cob from the 1715 fleet. The condition looks really good though and I just have my doubts because it's not certified. Can anyone help me decide on this coin????

It looks good, but no way to know if from the 1715 fleet, what does it weigh?

Even if it's not from the fleet, I would just be happy if it was real

Good question, it should be close to 27g correct?
.96 ozs or 27.3 grams, it will vary a little but should be very close to 27 grms.

It looks right, price should be like any cob of the period, nothing added because it supposedly came from a certain wreck.

Here are a few pics of one I found digging a while back. It is very beautiful

The ops looks good... any way to get other side photo ?

I mean ... only one side and asking if something is real ... come on now ?

No offense.

There is no way to know without some kind of provenance on where it came from. There's been a lot of cobs showing up from old collections lately.
