Facts about Gold

I thought you said earlier there are millions of people using dowsing wands
Wrong again….I said there are “millions of Dowser:
It is possible that you do not understand what we are talking about….It has been explained to you many times what “we” call Rods…When you mention “Wands” all every one thinks of is the story about Kansas …Art

Soon to be 5,000 then 10,000 and then even more

So...will that change any of the facts about gold? Will we still call it AU, or something entirely different?

I thought you said earlier there are millions of people using dowsing wands :icon_scratch:

To about a billion people in the world Dowsing is a good word because it is their hobby.

Growing fast, at this rate by next week there will be more
people dowsing than the total population on Earth, and
they still won't have any finds to post :laughing9:

I have been looking up on the finds..I guess fake treasure hunters do not have any finds to post…

Tom Ashworth's Prospectors Cache / Tom Ashworth / October 21, 2000

Ounce= oz
Pennyweight= dwt
Gram= g
Grain= gr

One pound troy is 12 ounces troy (and that is a lot of gold).
One ounce is 20 pennyweight
There are 31.1 grams in one ounce troy.
So, there are 1.555 grams in a pennyweight.
One pennyweight is 24 grains. So, there are 15.43 grains per gram.
Or, one grain is 0.00017 pounds troy. That doesn't sound like very much. But, one grain is better than none.
By the way, if one ounce of gold (pure gold) is $270, then:
One Gram would be worth about $8.68.
One Pennyweight would be $13.50.
And one grain would be $0.56.

So, if someone offered you gold for, say, $16.00 a gram, it works out to $497.60 an ounce.
Ed

16 ounces = 1 lb = 256 drams = 7,000 grains

The first photo is of a GPAA clean up sluice. The second one is a bad photo of a Blue Bowl which is the fastest way to clean up…I recommend that you use a couple of wash tubs to re circulate the water. I use simple water cooler pumps. City water is expensive and tends to have a lot of air bubbles in it that robs the smaller gold from you… .More to come

So....you now jumping from Facts about Gold to how to clean gold or clean prospecting equipment?

This is getting rather confusing.
I thought you were here to keep people from getting ripped off. LRL and MFD users who decide to look for gold are going to find a lot of it. If they do not know how it is weighted they may get ripped off when they sell it. Since you have never found any gold you do not know that it has to be separated from the rest of the material. There are cheap ways and expensive ways to separate the gold from the material….Finding it is the easy part….Getting it cleaned is the hard part…More to come…Art

Sorry you do not want to help people who own LRL’s and MFD’s and the ones who will buy them in the future….I will continue to post the truth unless the powers that be decides I am in the wrong…All your posts tell us what you are about….no facts just rumors….Please tell us just where these honest treasure hunters are surposed to go to find out what to do with all the gold that they recover? More to come…
Thousands of LRL and MFD users will go into the field and enjoy their hobby…
Soon to be 5,000 then 10,000 and then even more

HOW TO BUILD A HENRY HENRY "POOP" TUBE

Heres How You Do It

Go to your local Home Depot or Lowes
Purchase these items.
• 1, 1x3"x 8' pine board.
• 1, 8' length or 4"dia corrugated plastice flexible drain pipe "not perforated".
• 1, small pack of flat head wood screws #10 in size.

Now go to Walmart into the Sporting goods dept and purchase a 12vlt boat bilge pump 750 model.
You now have all of the ingredients to build your Henry "Poop" Tube.
NOW FOR THE ASSEMBLY...
• Cut the 8' 1x3" pine board in half into 2, 4' peices. Use one peice save the other.
• Cut the 8' length of corrugated drain pipe into 2, 4' peices. Save one use the other.
• Now take the 4' of drain pipe you are using and split in to 2 halves, by splitting it length wise.
• Take one of the halves of the drain pipe and screw it onto the 1x3"x4' pine board.
• Put the screws into the bottom of the corrugated riffles, 1 every 6" will do nicely.
• Now take the other split half and set it on top of the one you screwed down onto the pine board and snap it in place.
NOW YOU HAVE BUILT A BASIC HENRY "POOP" TUBE...
• You can now use it in a creek or stream to work out your concentrates and fine flour Gold.
• You can add on the bilge pump with a stop valve and some garden hose and by using a
couple of 5 gallon buckets you can recycle your water and use the Henry Poop Tube at home.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER...
• Remember to set up the elevation from top to bottom at 1" [one inch] per/linear foot of Henry "Poop" Tube.
• NOW...Adjust your water flow so the tube doesn't load up with blondes or blows out all of the material leaving the riffles empty.
• Using a scoop from those dry soap detergent boxes is perfect to feed the tube.
• Load the tube 1 [one] scoop at a time allowing it to clear before loading again.
• Look for all of the Free Gold and Snuffer it out every chance you get.
• Remember to classify your cons down to #20 mesh for use in the Poop Tube.
• Larger than #20 mesh you can pan out easily with either a 14" pan or 10" finishing pan.

You now have one of the most DEPENDABLE TOOLS IN YOUR PROSPECTING SUPPLY BIN...
Total cost to build one is less than $30 and total time to assemble one is less than 2 hours

There are safer ways to get the gold from your cons….But this is the way I have did this for 30 years and I am now to old to change..

Cleaning your cons

I pan and remove all the gold you can see and bring everything else home. I screen every thing with 25, 50 and 100 mesh keeping them in separate buckets. I save the plus 25 mesh for later if my rods show that there is gold in it. I then soak the cons with vinegar ( it's cheap at Sam's Club.) for three days stirring it when ever I think of it.

I run it thought the blue bowl starting with the 25 mesh lowering the water level for each size collecting the gold as I go. I now have all the cons back in one bucket. I now take my hot plate outside ( the heat range dial goes from 1-7 and I have it at 3 1/2 ) and using a Pyrex bowl dry it and dump each batch into a tub of cold water ( cracks the cons )

The next step I used a cement mixer when I was getting large amounts of cons from my big Dredges but now I use a rock tumbler. I put each batch in the tumbler with 4 half inch stainless steel ball bearings and turn it for two days ( more or less ) then add Mercury for another day. When I have all the cons back in a bucket I go back to the Blue Bowl.

I run it at a high water level and then at the lowest water level collecting the gold-mercury in snuffer bottles saving all the black sand. I pour all the gold-mercury into a newer pan ( the least amount of scratches ) working it with a small amount of water to bring all the mercury together taking the black sand out as I go. Using PLASTIC GLOVES I put a piece of fine silk over a pan and pour the gold-mercury into it. Grabbing the silk by the sides you can squish the excess mercury out of the silk saving the mercury for next year. You now dump the stuff in the silk into your Pyrex bowl.

I then load my PU. I take a potable generator, hot plate, jugs of water, gold-mercury, saftey mask, Nitric acid and the remaining black sand go to a friends 20 acres of isolated land. I set everything up, start the generator, put on my mask, pour the nitric acid into the bowl and walk away for a 1/2 hour. When I return I fill the bowl with water and let it cool. I pour the water into a safe container and collect my gold. I then dry all the black sand to burn off any mercury that may be on it.

This is a long process but when it's raining and cold I set in the garage with a heater and drink a few beers while I run the blue bowl. My rods show me that there is still some gold in the black sand so I will crush it and start over.

Just the last paragraph sounds like ART. The rest of it sounds like cut 'n paste (the spelling, etc is too good). Just my 2 cent observation.

Thanks.

You got that right. It's not too hard to figure out where Art's typing ends and his cut and paste begins. Plus he seldom if ever gives credit to the original author, desperately hoping the reader will THINK he wrote the stolen text. :laughing7: :laughing7: :laughing7:

Funny..I have put that post on about 20 other web sites over the years and nobody has complaint about my writing style. Poor losers I would guess….Art

WHO I AM

Let me start with a little background. In the 60's and 70's I was busy raising a family and working 12 hours a day 7 days a week from June until September. When I did get some time off we would go camping. I did some panning and knew a few full time miners.
In 81 my place of work shut down. I was able to take an early retirement but with a lot of restrictions if I worked. The first few years I worked and started to prospect. Then I realized with the retirement restrictions they were taking most of my retirement money away from me so I became a full time miner.
At first I helped my Nephew operate a 12 inch dredge on the Bear River and prospected with a 2 inch dredge .I've worked on the Feather River with 2, 4 and 6 inch dredges. I worked on the three forks of the American River with 6 and 8 inch dredges. I have worked 50 foot under water with a 8 inch dredge and that was no fun at all..
In 1997 I had to come out of the water because of a heart problem. I still wanted to look for gold, so I started to prospect with Electronic devices. One of them used rods to follow the signal that it made. In 2002 I started to learn about Dowsing. I found that many of the things I had learned using the electronic device could also be used with Dowsing. I developed may skills with the rods and found many ounces of gold.

In 2004 I started looking for large treasure. It took a lot of time to learn how to research areas and was a whole new ballgame…..

As I have become more home bound I started to map Dowse…At first I was real bad at it…As I have progress I have gotten better and better..No it is not perfect but it will get you in the right area….Art

Is this from Tom or Ed? 2000 is kinda outdated.
Kinda…..As far as I know these weights and measures have been around for a whole lot of Year. So in my opinion they are not outdated…..

Thank you Dave…I am glad I made you laugh..I know that real facts are hard to except but that is the way things go when you know nothing…

Here are a few examples of gold specimens. The three small examples were found in the flower bed at my Doctors office and the big was found in the Dixie Valley…So..keep your eyes open all the time…Gold is where you find it..

Thanks
