F Series Double Beep

Have waited till now to ask but does the Fseries famously double beep on pennies I have the Patriot and F75+,...noticed it first on the patriot and was pretty sure of it,..had f75 out today,..dug 2 pennies,..double beeped on both. I'm ok with it but just wandering if they've always done it?? -Aaron

Surface coins or coins on edge will double beep...

Right, what HighVDI says. The coin is slipping between the two fields put out by your double D coil. Lift the coil an inch or two, and you should get just one tone.
