1. No one mentioned the Jewish Holocaust but you and the good Mr. Jersyben, and certainly no one could trivialize it if they did not mention it...get it yet?
2. No one "invoked the Holocaust" but you and JerseyBen, so no one was attempting to "score points" by evoking it...get it yet?
3.No one compared the issue of gun control to genocidal anything. gun control was only compared to gun control. Period!...get it yet?
4.No one compared anyone to Adolf Hitler, they were comparing his "actions" concerning gun control and socialist healthcare not his mentality...get it yet?

If you can twist the meaning other posts into something they did not say, such as trivializing the Holocaust, then refuting their points would be easy for even children to do.

Referencing Hitler or Nazi Germany is a lot more than the Holocaust.

I would be happy to give you a polite, no BS answer to this question if it will help. When you make a conscious effort to read threads that you know upfront might be upsetting and then post that it upsets you it makes it appear that your whole reason for being offended is because you WANTED to be offended. I tried to give an example on another thread and I will refer back to it in case you missed it. I have no interest in the SWR forum on here because I live 400 miles from the ocean. I don't click on that tab. I agree that it's a "public discussion forum" but nobody is holding a gun to your head and making you read things that upset you. "Hitler" was right in the topic heading. Your curiosity won out and you went to see what it was about. Sorry bro but what you read in the thread that you don't like is entirely on you for making that decision knowing UPFRONT that it's a touchy subject with you. You don't see me on the SWR forum complaining about the content do you ? I simply don't go there. Purposely opening up a page that's on a subject you're uncomfortable with and then complaining about the subject tells me that you want to censor what the rest of us talk about. I wish I could convey how embarrassing it is for people with an almost total lack of historical foundation, who then, makes historical references.

at the end of WWI, the storm trooper, not a Nazi design, rather than accept surrender, just picked up their weapons and went home...as units...light weapons, heavy weapons, all were now on street corners of major cities in german provinces...

due to the total lack of civilian control in the turmoil of a post WWI Germany, local governments were at odds on how to stop riots, based in political differences, food shortages, and lack of employment...
