EyeClops BioniCAM Video Microscope $25!

Just so everyone knows, this is the video out ONLY model:
http://www.amazon.com/EyeClops-Bionic-Eye-Multizoom-Green/dp/B0016P2U6A

And this one has video out, USB memory for pictures and video, AND it has a screen on it to view the live feed or playback:

I'm going to buy up all of the USB ones at my Wal-Mart for $25 and whoever I run into can have one... two people are accounted for already though, and I think there was only 3 of them left at my store.

Ok I bought this and it arrived yesterday. I am disappointed with it. I have to hold a coin right up to the lens to get a good view and then I can only see a small portion of the coin.

This is great if you want to look very very very close at a coin but not if you wish to get a picture of the whole coin first.

Anyone else have any other ideas ?

Thanks

LOL it's called a video Microscope. :D

It takes still pictures as well. I just want something that I can view the whole coin close up and then zoom in on a particular area if needed.

I've always wanted one of those desktop digital projectors with its own lighting system. Those are great...but out of my price range. :-\

well this little bugger can be hooked up to your tv as you are viewing things. It is also portable but just not what I was looking for.

lafatlife,

Yeah, it's pretty much a TOY. But it can be useful if you need to get REALLY close to something. Maybe you are trying to see if there is a weak D on a 1922 penny... or something to that effect.

What you need is a nice macro mode camera. I have the Nikon S600 10Mpixel and it works great just hand held.

I'm sure you could find plenty of options out there for nice macro mode cameras.

Good luck!

Thanks Brett, I will have to look into that.
If you want a nice digital camera look at the Nikon S640 with macro for great close ups of coins, and fines. This what it will do. Iborrowed this from and other poster, so hope he don't mind ;D. But it is a great camera for macros and it takes video but it's not $25 either.
