I forgot to tell this story when it happened but it was about 5 years ago.

I was getting my hair cut and had a nice conversation with a young girl who cut my hair. Her name was Brittany Nichole. Here comes the strange part.

The very next day I was out metal detecting in a park near my house and I find a class ring with the name engraved Brittany Nichole. I'm like no freaking way, I just found the class ring of the girl who just cut my hair. I end my metal detecting to rush home to call the hair place and when I call Brittany answers. I tell her that I just found her class ring at the park, and she is like "Nope, I still have my class ring, I never lost it" Here is the even stranger part.

She went to the same exact high school and graduated in 2016 the same year as the ring owner. The school is about 10 miles from the park I found the ring in.

I call the high school, report the ring, they say they will try to reach out to the owner and I give them my name phone and email.

Now I don't know if this is just some HUGE coincidence or if she was lying for some reason. Maybe she was at the park with a guy and did not want a BF to know, I have no idea why she would lie but the whole thing is weird. I still have the ring after all this time, no calls, no emails.

I dunno even what to think.

There is a lot pawn shops full of rings of broken dreams of love. Perhaps the ring was thrown away by a jilted lover or a bad memory connected top it. Perhaps the hair dresser knows it hers but does not want anything to do with it as its reminder of a bad memory?

Your attempts to find the owner in very commendable but perhaps it to keep the ring as reminder nothing always go to plan in life?

Maybe she thinks that you are hitting on her. Do you drive a white van? Maybe she thinks that this random guy is flirting with her and trying to lure her into some strange situation by offering her a ring. I would go and show it to her and ask her if it is in fact her class ring that she did not know was missing.

Naw it was not like that. I had been back to her once after the initial haircut. She had since moved to someplace else.

I would made another appointment with her to get a trim.

OBTW can you wear your graduation ring for me.
This is what I would have done !! Showed her the ring and ask to see her's ...
You know its not unthinkable that you have had a "time slip" of some sort, where you might have found the ring, before she actually lost it ? ha ha ha ...
If you believe in that kind of stuff of course..
