Extracting gold from wood

I went to a local park with a older playground area, with shallow woodchips....about 3 inches deep and then under that, was dirt. Most newer tot lots have a concrete retaining wall, around the area of 5 or 6 inches of woodchips. This one, was only 3 inches deep. 8) Hoping to find some silver under the chips in the dirt, I started detecting.
After about 45 minutes of picking up all the signals I had 2 pulltabs, about 20 bits of foil, and some clad. You know.....the usual items from a "tot lot". No old silver.


As I was turning around, detecting back to my car I got another good signal!! I then extracted a gold ring out of the woodchips!!!!

A nice looking heart shape on the front and gold!!!!!
I gave a quick look inside the band and saw 18K!!!!!!

When I got back to my car I looked closer at it......it was 18K, but plated.
I'll take gold plated !!!!!!!

Pretty ring! Do you remember what signal the M6 gave you for it? I've had my M6 for a month now and am still trying to get used to it. I seem to get a lot of broken signals...signal swinging one way and no signal or a broken one going the other.
