I've been using a FX-1 on my F75 for about a year. It's a great pinpointer. I recommed it highly.

One thing to remember is to get into a ritual of flipping the toggle switch when you stand-up. One of my first times out I was hunting an old house site and found it funny I hadn't heard a "peep" for some time. Turns out I neglected to switch back to the main coil. Ooops. ::)

Good news is that I learned a lesson and have not had that problem since (and do a visual check frequently).

I've had one on my F75-LTD about a month now. Works fine and sure makes it a lot easier to find your target after the plug is out. Really helpful late in the day when I start losing light also. I've located several coins by feel using the FX-1 probe. Be aware, the probe will signal along its length as well as the tip. Sometimes a coin is in the side of the hole and you need to dig to the side and not down. You'll get used to it. Probably the best accessory I've ever bought.

Buy it u will love it ,but like the others said,do not forget the toggle .U will anyway at least one time .

I agree with the others!!! The fact that it will discriminate through the detector is another BIG plus, especially in trash spots!!

If I have a somewhat deeper target or one that I am having trouble pinpointing, then after I've dug the plug I will switch to the probe and use the pinpoint on that. You can cut the depth in half but it gives you a much better idea where the target is or if you have two targets in the same area.

I've also gotten in the habit of making sure it is switched over to coil anytime I pick up the detector. My buddy had a deep silver signal on his detector and I wanted to see what it sounded like on mine. To my disappointment I couldn't get anything. About 10 min of detecting later I realized I had left it on probe.
