Exclusive: School Teaches Students it’s Constitutional for Cops to Confiscate Guns

South Carolina parents were furious this week after seeing questions regarding the Constitution – in particular the Second Amendment – as taught in their daughter’s 8th grade history class. The daughter’s teacher had given the class a pop quiz regarding the Constitution. Question 10 asked, “Mr. Jones’ gun was confiscated at a police traffic stop, even though he had the proper permit and license of ownership of the gun. Is this Constitutional?” The student originally answered “no,” but the teacher told daughter to change her answer to “yes.” See picture below.

This is not a unique event. Just this week, another report emerged in Texas of an Advanced Placement (AP) textbook presenting a modified version of the Second Amendment. The textbook’s wording indicated that only police and military were allowed to have guns with the wording “The people have the right to keep and bear arms in a state militia.”

AP textbooks and exams are created by the College Board, an organization which has participated in the implementation of Common Core, the already-invasive and controversial set of education “standards” organized for the Federal Government and pushed on states with financial incentives and a lack of transparency. People have already found disturbing lessons in the program, such as teaching children to argue on an emotional level to manipulate people into accepting social change.

This educational push for the modification of the Second Amendment comes at the time of an intense and multifaceted, nationwide battle over gun rights. This battle, prompted by the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting in Connecticut, has been fought in both the legislative and cultural spheres. Attorney General Eric Holder, however, was the first to indicate it should be brought into the educational sphere when he said people should be “brainwashed” about guns.

“I’ve also asked the school board to make a part of every day some kind of anti-violence, anti-gun message,” he said in a video released in March 2012. He went on to say “It’s not enough to have a catchy ad on a Monday and then only do it every Monday. We need to do this every day of the week and really brainwash people into thinking about guns in a vastly different way.”

Bias in education has been in the spotlight multiple times since 2008. It’s clear that there is a nationwide push to change the understanding of the Second Amendment in the next generation. Now parents are concerned that the school systems are being used to push a leftist agenda instead of educating students with the skills needed to excel in their careers.

Editor’s note: The pop quiz was given to Benswann.com as a tip. The parents and student live in Campobello, S.C. and wanted to remain anonymous.

I wonder if someone checked to see what the teachers party affiliation was?

They are trying to indoctrinate out Children so in the next generation they can rewrite the Constitution and no one will object.....

Teacher should be fired, and teaching credentials pulled so can never teach again....

This happens all to common...

Im sorry but this proves absolutely nothing.

IMO, the article in question is the actual propaganda - from the pro 2nd amendment camp.

The article gives almost no details and the "picture" of that quiz looks like it could have been made by almost anyone.

Why would a teacher scribble out a student's answer? I have literally NEVER seen a teacher do that in my life, in any grade level.

I am NOT making any personal statements against the 2nd amendment. Yes, the answer to the quiz is obviously supposed to be "no"

Guys, dont be so fickle. All I ask is that you dont jump to irrational conclusions. Dont be so dramatic. Dont pin blame everywhere. Dont demonize teachers.

I can remember when the teachers taught you to read and write, and do your numbers.....now they all have their own personal agenda! And before you jump in Ben, I have seen this up close, because I know if people in my home town who have pulled their kids out of the school system, and now one homeschools, and the other's are in private schools, with non-union teachers!

The left is trying to rewrite the 2nd amendment by teaching the kids the 2nd doesn't guarantee them the right to keep and bear arms. They are trying to indoctrinate them to be good socialists...

Would you be so quick to condone it if they were teaching the kids the 1st amendment didn't give them the right to speak in public?

Anyone who teaches that is a traitor to the BOR, Constitution and to this country.....

Well from my own experience as a high school student some time ago...some teachers do have an agenda, and some are just dishonest. I remember one teacher telling us that in America you are guilty until proven innocent... he hated the constitution, bill of rights and who knows what else...oh yeah he was also a self proclaimed liberal as well as a trial lawyer.

Hate to burst your bubble there partner, but in 30 years of teaching I have seen answers changed by teachers many times and have done it myself to give the kid credit. As for the lesson plan, we had a female health teacher that gave her students a handout asking things like, have you had sex, was it with a member of the same or opposite sex, ever had sex with animals, ever had sex with a family member? This was in the late 1980's. She is stii taeching at that high school. Teacher union saved her. Same will probably happen to the guy in this case. Takes a lot sometimes to get rid of a public school teacher...

depends on his reasoning whether he was trying to push an mind game agenda
or stating an opinion.

Trust me in this country you are Guilty until proven innocent :(

Unless you are a Cop.

Is Tsarnaev innocent ?

I say yes, But I take the Constitution Literally.

but like others, he's sitting behind bars Hoping to Prove he is innocent.

all it takes is someone to accuse you of something, You will be Picked up, Handcuffed,
and thrown behind bars, & in most cases have to bail yourself out.

police of course just get put at a desk, with pay till their superior says
they did good.

you have to trust a jury to decide you did good.

yes the constitution says your innocent,
but when was the last time you heard of a cop knocking at someones door to say

hey your accused of this, or that.

stop by the courthouse on wednesday,
or give a call when you have the free time, &
we'll get this sorted out

if your innocent why treat you like a criminal ?

and half the people on juries sit down thinking what did this Scum Do ?
are we going to get to the Juicy Bits ?
not what kind of lies is the DA & his cronies going to try and push today ?

Jeff, this particular teacher made it clear that he had a serious dislike of the constitution. He was always angry at the world as well.
As far as cops being presumed guilty it depends...remember obama and his statement that the cops acted stupidly? Right down the road from here a cop stopped a car full of young man who were accused of just robbing the drug store. One of them got out and started fighting with the the cop. One cop against four or five guys. The cop shot and killed the one he was fighting with. Most in town condemned the cop and they almost successfully got the town to discontinue having a police force. Keep in mind this happened on a two lane highway after dark with no one else around. I would have shot him to...
Cop was found to be in the right...

Yeah, they're people just like the rest of us.

Sometimes good, and sometimes not good.

About 15% of my profession is proficient and ethical, and the same could be said about may others, but in my experience, teachers are at about 50%. That's 3 times as much.

I went through the Sunday School stuff myself and all my buddies. No one took that seriously and got out as quickly as we could.
