Only had the chance to hunt once this week. Lisa and I went to one of our local spots and hunted for a few hours.

First keeper was a small Excelsior button. Lisa had found one like it last week, only it was coat size and the back was different.

I decided to detect along side one of the old roads. They had run the grader over it a couple of weeks ago and kicked up some fresh dirt...

Can you see it? :icon_pirat:

How bout now?

Yep...the anchor button...
Anyone venture a guess of military/civilian, and age?

Here's the back to the Excelsior and Anchor buttons

Found an Opelika overall button. I thought that one was neat, as it was a first for me to find and I recognized the name of the town.
War Eagle! :laughing7:

I came across this neat clasp looking something..

It has Shirley Made on the back...

Except for the lead, avon mini lipstick, Scovill zipper pull and a Cintas 'air disk' something or other, that's about it for finds this week. But, I had a good time. :)

Charlie managed to get the lighting done. :sign13:

Are you holding out on me????

Isn't that a zipper pull? I mean the rest is nice and all but I really think I see a zipper pull.

Maybe it's time for me to have my head examined.... :icon_scratch: :icon_thumleft:

Hey Nana, Good finds.....seen a couple of roads in Alabama that looked exactly like the one in your picture.
I was stationed there, at Ft. Rucker, near Enterprise......was there two different times......and loved it and the Alabamians.
Great down to earth folk.
I am partial to the Opelika button, as I always looked forward to driving through the hisorical section of that small city, and
seeing all the old antibellum homes....a beautiful piece of Americana.
Great finds. Keep chargin' hard. Someday I might just sneak out of Korea and back into Alabama.....lots of great memories.
