excal and wot questions

It will go deeper and cover more area per sweep. Maybe the targets at your location aren't all that deep.

I have dug some deep quarters in dryer sand but in the wet sand, it will seem to loose the signal after a few scoops of sand are removed. The ten inch I could just shove down in the hole, this one is so much larger that trick doesnt seem to work.

Also I have thrown some targets out and notice the outer band will only pick items up very shallow.

To me it just seems that the larger coil's loose something 10 inch 10 1/2 inch i like 12 inch ok after that to me all they do is cover more area and the extra depth is so minimum if any at all is not worth buying or useing one.

More depth. Better coverage. Looks really cool too!

My WOT paid for itself in less than a week. I was at an old school that I had hit hard with my F-75, my E-trac and my Excalibur II 1000 with the stock coil.

I got the WOT for the Excalibur II and went back to the school (built in 1912) and found a nice gold ring that I got $400 for. It was in an area that I had hit hard several times with the other machines. It was down about 14 inches in soft ground. Pinpoint (all metal) got me that ring with the WOT. I have become a fan of discriminate with the WOT in trashy areas. Good separation.

I also hit other schoolyards with the WOT and I am able to really cover a lot more ground. Pinpointing is spot on as I have had no problems pin pointing. My finds with my Excalibur II WOT have increased dramatically.

The WOT for me is a no brainer. Get it and have fun.

Keppy,

I am not sure where your getting the WOT loses anything, I am hitting targets well over 12 inches consistently with my WOTs, I have pulled up some targets at an easy 18 inches at the beach.

I have a WOT on one of my excals, and one for my Sov GT, as well as a SEF 15x18 inch Butterfly coil for the Sov GT and the depth on SEF is amazing.

I do not use any coil smaller then the 15 inch WOT at the beach now and if surf is too rough to get in the water I'm using the 15x18 SEF on my SOV.
