trying to find some info on this, it says lectco on the inside of bottom, looks to be 30s ,,40s maby. works excellent throes off crazy heat. all original. any value here? thanks for any help. one pic shows the element glowing.

just so ya know its 2015 and my wife is still using it every night still has original element , no problems.

in england i think they were used for heating muscular aches and pains you just heated the area up for a few minutes

From what I can recall old heater cord sheaths were wove from asbestos and or glass fibers.

We had one like that - as well as an old GE fan with exposed brass blades! The old cords are as much danger as the elements or blades! Simple technology but they have nothing like tip sensors or overheat cut-outs. Insurance company would probably love to find one of those in the ashes of your former home.
