EVER FOUND SOMETHING LIKE THIS? CIVIL WAR ERA????

I am just curious as to what this is and if anyone has found something like before? I found it in an area that has been producing good civil war relics/ bullets/ buttons and a few Calvary relics as well...

any help would be appreciated!!!!
