In my opinion when you classify them artifacts the hunters who post them are usually new and they then concentrate on looking for rocks rather than true artifacts.With items like these... Since none of us were there, one cant say that it 'wasnt' used. However, it is most likely that they werent. There would be retouch chips on the edges if they were true tool, like end scrapers or side scrapers etc... The archaeologists that i know call all debitage flaking artifacts, since the flakings were made by man and not natural.
I guess it might just depend on how u want to classify it. So maybe saying they are 'nothing' is harsh in a way...

Oh I agree, I have some UGLY artifacts, but they still have flaking on them or signs of man... Not all were as talented as some.....yep,you are right about that,and i know you are very wise.just want all to know that not all artifacts are pleasant to the eye,and also happy you know im just trying to learn them as well.
