AH So he was Just advertising an EBay deal that Started at $2.00

I think its listed for 2k and that the 2$ was just to get attention to it...

I replied to the email asking which auction was his on ebay and if I could just come pick it up. Here was the reply, received just minutes later:

"The item is not anymore on eBay. I'm located in Indianapolis, IN. Can you come and pick it up ?

Thank you"

I sent a second reply saying that I could pick it up (I travel extensively) and asked if he could send me his phone number to discuss it. So far no reply.

My gut says scam... for his sake I hope my gut is wrong.

Oh, as of a few minutes ago there was no listing for this on the Indianapolis Craigslist.

The Link that came up says baltimore (MD)

Unless He Posted it everywhere to get coverage.

IF He is allowing Pick-Up probably not a scam.

Of course Perahaps He expected a No from you.
so he could request mail payment.

I sincerely want my gut to be wrong! And if its true then its quite a good deal. That's why I offered to pick it up.. its best to spend that kind of $$$ in person IMO.

It just feels like it might not be legit... and I don't want to see anyone else who is considering it to get burned.

Yep Under All the Circumstances so far,
pick-up would be the only way to go.
can't get burned that way,
unless he sends you on a wild goose chase,
which would make no sense.
