Enjoyed A "ProPointer Mcmuffin" This Morning Before Going Out On A Relic Hunt...

Those "ProPointer Mcmuffin's" were on sale today for $1.99, we we devoured several of them before heading out for a long, physically demanding trek in an area which goes back to the turn of the century and some nice finds have been found here in the past.

Here are our weapons of choice...a GTI 1500, a GTI 2500 and an ACE 250 with a sniper coil to get into those tight spots.

Here's a section of the terrain we covered. We must of hiked about 10 miles today. Great time of year too. Not too hot, not too cold and NO bugs. :)

After about 40 minutes into the hunt, I found a couple of pennies from the 50's, and then what a surprise! A ring. A rare find in the woods for sure. The GTI 2500 got the credit for that one. :)

While wandering around the slopes and trails, we found an old tricycle, and a singe ice skate. Perhaps the ravine flooded and froze over the winter allowing for some nice ice skating each year.

There were several areas where dumps were exposed. Often times, you need to use a metal detector to find them because they get buried. We scoured around this dump and found some items of interest.

It was an interesting day.....the oldest coin was a 1936 penny. We both found one of those tokens made usually at a carnival. Also found some older lipstick containers, maybe from picnics? The remains of a compass were dug up on a hill side and an old tin for INSTANT BREAKFAST out of a can.

Hope to get a few more hunts in before the snow flies....
