Emerald (?) ocean find

These stones were found at a depth of 12 meters in south Taiwan near a coastal city Kaohsiung. If possible, please identify the green stones, their origin has been perplexing me for almost 7 years now. The resolution is at maximum since the photo was taken in 2006 using a cheap camera. Your help in this is much appreciated, if you are interested, I will tell you the exact spot where we found these ! Thank you for attention,

Hard to tell from your photo.
Can you do a hardness test? Try to scratch it with a known piece of quartz.
If quartz doesn't scratch it they might be emerald it it does scratch it it might be jade.

Thank you for the advice, the samples are lost by now, I was hoping it is possible to determine the kind by just this photo.
