I'm not your Amigo --deleted--...got any gold pics, or are u just blowing steam?? Once again, refer to newbie clause...

Me? I haven't found any gold of substance, save for a couple pieces of jewlery when metal detecting. However, I'm not the one making claims that I did so by way of magic and dowsing rods.

If you prefer, I'll wager that $10,000 in gold bullion, not steam.
You up for it? Assuredly, given the passionate defense you're presenting here, you would be willing to put your money where your mouth is, right? Because I am.

Morgan...u MUST be one of these new age pnk-bchezz that doesn't respect your elders...like I said, the man has more mask time then you've been on this earth!! He has seen/done/recovered more then u ever will, so give him some room here...And quit making your childish wagers, they enhance your immaturity...

Come on guys. We're all here to learn, be friendly and help each other. I maybe a skeptic, but I'm not calling anyone with an unconventional means of finding something a liar. If I remember correctly someone that I admire very much in this business posted something about a person that was with him using some type of LRL in Florida last year. This person is a commercial diver, worked for reale eight and has been doing this a long time. He wrote a book or two. His initials are T.A. and I certainly wouldn't doubt his post about finding something.

Dell, I'll give a Special Invitation to you to join Cornelius, John and John's crew at the upcoming survey this Spring.

As far as respecting my 'elders', you're correct. There are occasionally 'elders' for whom I have no respect, whatsoever. Wisdom does not always come with age. Dumb people get old, too. I'd guess you were probably in the group of elders I wouldn't respect, however, I certainly won't pass any judgment on Dell without having met the guy. I may think long range locating is absurd and get a chuckle out of people who buy into it, but that doesn't mean he isn't a wealth of good information in other regards.

**Edit**
I'm going to delete this out. There's no sense getting combative here. I now see the Randi Crowd has already addressed the dowsing claims made my Mr. Winders, which is more than I could ever do. My own $10K wager is peanuts compared to the $25,000 freeroll Carl Moreland already offered him and was turned down, for whatever reason...

If people want to use dowsing rods to treasure hunt, so be it. The more treasure hunters we have, the better and I don't care how they do it, even if it's on the 'eccentric' side. No sense continuing on with this. My own opinions on long range locating are known. Happy hunting to all.

Other manufacturers of treasure hunting products/devices have to pay to advertise. Why should Dell Winders be any different than JW Fishers, White's or Minelab?

Every time Dell posts one of his alleged finds, using the equipment he builds and sells..........he is advertising.
That's FINDS not FINES....and ole Troy can troll for investors without impunity...
Shark has NEVER solicited funding in any way, nor is he looking for it now....Maybe u need to see what he has accomplished in the past....

How many items recovered were found because of dowsing/LRL means ?

NOT claimed, actually found solely with LRL only ?

It looks like the Skeptic group is working hard to start arguments and change the subject to LRL & Dowsing to get this thread deleted and Dell, prevented from being able to post.

So, this will probably be my last reply under this name before it is banned and my ISP is blocked from TNET again.

I do not apologize for the Treasure Hunting methods I have learned to use, nor will I lie and deny the truth of how some of my finds have been made in order to pacify the prejudiced and vengeful members serving the Skeptic group agenda.

"Dell has never supported this website, and has never paid for a Charter Membership to try and support this website."

SWR, your statement is totally untrue. Also you were invited to join me, and others on a private property treasure search near you to watch me demonstrate my search methods in real field conditions . Your claim of folks waiting 20 years or more for a demonstration is a falsehood. Sadly, you seem to take pride in being an instigator, agitator and vindictive trouble maker to advance the unscrupulous Skeptic group agenda

CORNELIUS, I don't like using an alias, I have nothing to hide. But, I was given no choice. My account, Dell Winders, and my E-mail address, were banned on TNET, and my years of posts and photos have been deleted in a vengeful act. My ISP was blocked so I couldn't open an account using another name.

For what reason I don't know, but a few weeks ago the ISP was unblocked and I have been posting under the available name SHARK. I hope you understand.

LS MORGAN, I don't understand your prejudice? Have I ever done anything to you?

OLD MAN, Thank you for your open minded consideration. I offered to try help only if you thought my opinion of the site might be of benefit to you. For no other reason than as a fellow Treasure Hunter.

SHAWMEN, I am grateful for your support. Thank you very much. Regrettably, those who tried to support me before had their posts deleted, and it is likely to happen again. Even more reason for my appreciation of your efforts.

TO ALL, I wish this to be the greatest year for Treasure Hunters, ever, and the worst year for the Nay sayers. Dell

One of the earliest pictures of dowsing in is in De Re Metallica, a book on mining written by Georg Bauer, better known as Georgius Agricola and published in 1556, which shows quite clearly the use of a naturally forked hazel rod so maybee super natrural dose work !

Since we are all getting off the subject of the emerald.... I saw a city utility worker using a dowsing rod set, and he was looking for a very old water main. I watched him go over the area several times. The rods swung and crossed at each time he walked over a certain spot. It was at Venice airport in Venice FL. This was about 1978 I think. I had used metal detectors quite a bit prior and was really interested. I talked to him about it and he said he didnt know how it worked, but it did. And he said they used them a lot. There were plastic tubes that held the ends, and you held the L rods straight out, and when you walked over water? it would cross. They wanted to pinpoint the exact water main. I assumed he had a metal detector, but it was fairly deep. I guess the old water mains didnt have a tracer wire or rebar or if it was iron. Being old, I assumed it was iron. I went flying with a friend, and was gone about an hour and came back and sure enough, they had opened up down to the water main. It was exactly on the spot. I dont know how it works, and I do know they have been used for many years. It is like ghosts and flying saucers, you never really believe it until you see or feel one. And then you still cant exactly explain what it is. And you still cant convince people that you saw or felt something that you dont know what it was exactly, other than you really did experience this. So you dont say anything. People will start calling you a whack job, or a nut. But I cant say that they can find things like metals, jewels, etc. I really dont know. I would like to see it in action. Hell, if I could figure out how to master a set of those, I would. I remember Dell in the old days of TNet and before that. I know he uses metal detectors, and I know he uses dowsing. I do know several people that believe in it. I dont shun them for it. I would like to try it and see if I can do it. You know what they say, dont knock it till you try it.

To All,
Dell is well aware of my opinion when it comes to dowsing and LRL. I've actually insulted him in the past with my own dares and skepticism. However, I have run across experiences in the past where it either worked or I was duped. Since I don't consider myself a fool, I'll just say that for some reason, it worked.
I know Dell personally and like him very much. He's a true gentleman and deserves the consideration due a true gentleman. I take exception with all of you out there who pretend to know how this universe works and especially those of you who are trying to degrade someone who you've never even met. I talked with Dell recently and he offered his help on my latest adventure. His offer is without strings, has no personal gains for him and he has made himself available at great inconvenience to himself. Since I'm not the only person involved, I reserved giving him an answer until I discussed the offer with the other principal. Well, it appears that question has been answered so we'll go forth from here. I suggest you naysayers reserve your comments until Dell has a chance to prove himself. Any further comments about Dells integrity only serves to belittle yourselves and will fall on deaf ears here. I now expect to be personally insulted....

Fact#1: An emerald was found.

Fact#2: The employed method works. See fact#1.

Fact#3: It's a conventional method used by the ones who know about it and employ it.
However, it is and it will remain 'unconventional' to the ones who don't use it or are not able to do it. Yet, it's much more effective
since the 'conventional' and should I add, outdated method, would never be able to reach the reported depth, much less detect its
presence.

PS. Shawmen, don't bother a couple of skeptics here whose insignificancies don't even require to be named. They are just flies around the cake. Just cover the cake and they will go away.

Dowsing..I'll gladly admit I do it. I Always carry a set of bent wires and can accurately locate buried water lines and electric lines. Was shown how by an old electrician. I once found a set of buried narrow gauge railroad tracks on a waterfront industrial site..we had a backhoe at our disposal to dig down 5'.

Emeralds..I'll bet "Sharks" success was partly tempered by his local knowledge of the area..I suspect there's a layer of hardpan there, that traps the vertical descent of goodies. As for unconventional..we ALL indulge in unconventional behavior..I mean really..treasure hunting????

Emeralds II..another member here was also criticized and viewed with skepticism for finding emeralds...WHY?? We all know they are out there somewhere, it's just that a small group has figured out the secret to finding them. Shark et al..more power to you!

And that pretty much sums it up in a nutshell!!

Great post Bill....

Hi Shark (Dell)...

I truly did not have any ill intentions when I posed the question... I was just curious about how you were able to find the emerald. I was not trying to discredit ANY method... just amazed that you found the stone in what I thought was 6 inches (which was impressive in and of itself, but 6 FEET?!!!) Damn good job man... it must have taken quite a bit of time and effort!!!

I personally have received some negative comments in the past from a few other members on this forum about some of my shipwreck related finds (including 44 gorgeous Muzo emeralds) that I recovered from the area... although my finds were because I was shown exactly where, when, and how to look for and recover the stones in this particular location by an old timer that could no longer hunt the area herself and "passed the torch" to me. It involved just the right erosion and a whole lot of back breaking sifting... not quite as "mysterious" as your methods, but well worth the effort!! I did also receive quite a few positive comments from members as well so some fellow hunters do appreciate seeing the goodies.

If you are truly an honest individual and found your emerald there, then enjoy the fruits of your labor and don't let the negativity bother you. I hate to say it but I learned the hard way not to post any of my finds anymore for many reasons but the negativity was one of those reasons... just not worth the grief which is too bad because sharing your finds with others is what this whole endeavor is all about.

How many carats is your emerald? My largest was 38 carats. From what I can tell from your pic, your stone has similar characteristics to mine (dark blue green color most common in Muzo Mine stones)... Yours looks more like a cluster type stone whereas most of mine were "barrel shaped" stones. I would love to meet you and also see the stone in person sometime if you are ever up in Vero/Ft.Pierce area. I would be happy to show you some of my finds as well. Happy hunting... Peace. Phips

Phips, I remember you telling me about finding some emeralds too. I was going to mention it, as it was related to Dell finding his, but I didnt know how you felt about others saying something. Best thing for a good treasure finder is to keep things secret! I havent been on here in 2 years until a few weeks ago, and now I check it about every day. Hope all is good with you, Steve.
