Hello everyone,

I recently acquired a necklace that has a Schiaparelli tag but is unsigned.

The clasp appears to be made in the Schiaparelli style. I am aware that she didn't sign her jewelry in the 1930s, and some in the 1940s from what I've read. The tag throws me off as several pinterest photos show pieces made in the 60s with the same tag.

Do you think this is original or a fake? Perhaps a later tag was put on an older piece?

Thanks in advance,
Marek

I included pics, they didn't go through for some reason: let me try again...

Pictures?

The style of the necklace is more typical of the 1950's with the no stones and gold tone metal. In 1949 she licensed an American company to make her jewelry with either a stamped mark or a paper tag such as the one on your necklace. Says so right here... https://www.illusionjewels.com/costumejewelrymarkss.html

Along with the hardware being right then yes, I'd say it is correct and authentic.
