Elgin Pocket Watch and Mysterious "Michigan" name plate (cast iron stove label?)

Snuck in a few hours detecting in the woods in an area not far from civil war encampment and at an old church built @1900. I suspect the Michigan Plate is off a cast iron stove. The pocket watch is an Elgin - not sure of make or model. When I cleaned it the enamel face just disintegrated. The fired bullet appears to be civil war era.

Thank you pepper. I’m pretty sure from research I did last night that what I have is a long stem dash car clock by Elgin (minus the stem). In other words, NOT a pocket watch. They made them with both a white and black enamel face. See pictures below. I can see the serial number and will do as you suggest. Thank you.

Now, if I could just figure out the Michigan name plate....
