My first relic. I found it 24 years ago in my back yard. It's 6 inches wide 9 inches tall and it's copper. Misplaced it Long ago and found it in my garage about 4 years ago.

Yep, pike shoe (poulaines) That was a fashion statement around the middle ages, unsurprisingly they were criticized and ridiculed and banned in some areas.

I still think it's his foot it's flat at the bottom.and the way the tip is curled.

It looks like a copper printing plate? First the plate is covered in wax then the image is scraped away on the wax exposing the copper then dipped in acid the copper plate is etched with image. then ink is applied with dapper or roller. then put into press with paper and get an etching. looking at quality it was perhaps student learning the process.
