Can anyone help me to identify this item that I found in a friends backyard? Is it to a temporary work light, or from an electric fence or something? Thanks for looking!
It is a connector called a Fahnstock clip. Usually used to make a connection from a single wire to a fixed point like a battery or headphone connection.
It’s marked on the tab of the clip “John Mucher New York” He had patents dealing with variable resistors... and I’m not sure what else. But here’s one of his patents: https://patents.google.com/patent/US1840168
MOJJAX, check your old post in "genealogy". We're related. We must be 5th cousins 85 times removed. LOL. Anyway, Mary Perkins Bradbury's parents were amongst my g-grandparents. Sorry for the thread drift, BTW.
