I went out for another short hunt (two hours) with Oldjerseygirl back to where we were yesterday.
She found a 1891 IH
I found a two piece Phila Rapid transit Co. button two pieces of jewelry and a 1881 Indian Head Cent

Another nice day weather wise
I'll be back to that spot soon.
I'll post the pix from my phone of I can figure out the new app??? I don't have the pix on my PC yet.

That decorative clip item is very interesting. Finding mystery items is a big part of what makes this hobby fun. Secondly, Those site pics have me really hoping this New York snow melts soon. Keep up the good work.
I love a good mystery! I'm headed back there today, I'm going long, packing my lunch, taking a few bottles of water. I'm prospecting today much further back to where I'm hoping to find another homestead that is hidden from the other cellar holes. Without saying allot this place is a well known place and has been pounded over the years. To find what we have so far is a blessing, according to the owner, he claims there is an untouched cellar hole (he would know) He is having fun teasing me about it. He really enjoys the "hunt" We both have fished together and deer hunted together over the years, so he really enjoys watching this all unfold.
Thanks

Nice hunt and the site looks promising & undisturbed for a long time TH. HH, Q.
Not really colonial, but pretty darn old. Its amazing how much a place can "grow over" in one summer, making it look untouched. It really is nice, those woods are what I always enjoyed for years before I started metal detecting. Dirt fishing, dirt hunting, I love it. There has to be some old silver hiding in there somewhere?
I'm going to take a little time for more pix while I'm hiking around. Thanks Q

Looks like a cool site to hunt Brad, great site pics!

It sure looks like a money clip to me. :icon_scratch:
